When taking on the role of delegated director for vocational and technological training, the first concrete question arises quickly: how much on the payslip? The DDFPT salary cannot be read in a single line. It combines a salary scale related to the original body, a specific bonus of 40 points of increased index, a fixed part of ISOE, and a responsibility allowance whose amount varies according to the size of the sections.
Understanding each component allows one to anticipate what is actually received net, month after month.
Index Bonus and Responsibility Allowance of the DDFPT
The base salary of a DDFPT remains that of their teaching body (certified, PLP, or aggregated). The specificity of the position translates into two immediate supplements on the payslip.
The first is the NBI of 40 points of increased index. This bonus is added directly to the gross salary and is included in the calculation of the retirement pension, which is not the case for all bonuses.
The second is the responsibility allowance, revalued on September 1, 2023, according to three tiers linked to the number of students in the sections:
- 7,563 euros annually for establishments with sections exceeding 1,000 students
- 6,740 euros annually for sections with between 400 and 1,000 students
- 5,917 euros annually (amount applicable to sections with fewer than 400 students, revalued in the same proportions)
There is also the fixed part of the ISOE (allowance for student monitoring and guidance), paid to all active teachers. All these components make up the total remuneration, and it is on this basis that one can estimate the DDFPT salary on Professeur Debbie based on their grade and assignment.

What Affects the Net: Deductions and Often Overlooked Supplements
The transition from gross to net holds some surprises when discovering the first payslip as a DDFPT. Here are the main deductions that apply.
The deduction for civil pension represents 11.10% of the gross salary. The CSG (9.2%) and the CRDS (0.5%) are calculated on 98.25% of the gross, not on the total. A transfer of bonuses/points of 32.42 euros is also deducted.
The actual net amount therefore depends heavily on the grade and the original body. A PLP at the 7th grade and an aggregated teacher at the same grade do not have the same base salary, even if their responsibility allowances are identical for an establishment of equivalent size.
On the supplement side, the family supplement is added for those who have children. For two children, it ranges from about 77 euros to over 116 euros monthly. The residence allowance, on the other hand, varies according to the geographical area of the establishment.
Grade Progression and Access to the Exceptional Class for a DDFPT
The career of a DDFPT follows the grid of their teaching body. Progression occurs according to the durations set by statutory decrees. The decree 2023-721 of August 4, 2023, has restructured the grids for certified teachers, PLP, CPE, and PSY-EN, with a linearization of access to the exceptional class.
In practical terms, moving to the exceptional class is becoming progressively automatic, which changes the situation for DDFPTs at the end of their careers. Before this reform, access depended more on strict quotas and sometimes opaque hierarchical opinions.
Promotion and Recognition of the Role
The index point has been revalued by decree 2023-519 of June 28, 2023, to reach 5,907.34 euros annually (an increase of 1.5%). This same decree has granted an additional 5 points of increased index starting January 1, 2024.
These general revaluations benefit DDFPTs through their original body, without constituting a specific measure for the role. Feedback varies on this point: some colleagues believe that the financial recognition of the mission remains insufficient compared to the actual workload of the position.

Differences in Remuneration According to the Type of Establishment
Not all positions of delegated director for vocational and technological training are equal in terms of remuneration. The determining criterion is the number of students enrolled in the vocational and technological sections.
A DDFPT assigned to a polyvalent high school with multiple tracks and more than 1,000 students receives a responsibility allowance that is over 1,600 euros per year higher than a colleague working in an establishment with fewer than 400 students. Over a full career, this gap accumulates significantly.
The type of high school also plays an indirect role. In a rural vocational high school with sections of low enrollment, the DDFPT sometimes manages fewer technical platforms but takes on a broader versatility (business relations, organization of PFMP, management of equipment). The workload is not proportional to the allowance received.
Acting or Permanent: A Distinction That Matters
Staff who temporarily perform the duties of DDFPT without being officially appointed to the position (known as “acting”) do not always benefit from the same indemnity conditions. The annual management texts specify the applicable rules, but situations vary from one academy to another. Before accepting such a mission, it is better to check with the rectorate the exact remuneration conditions.
The remuneration of a DDFPT is based on a layering of statutory and indemnity components. The treatment of the original body, the NBI, the responsibility allowance modulated by the size of the establishment, and the mandatory deductions form a set that no generic simulator can accurately reproduce. To gain clarity, the most reliable approach is to reconstruct the payslip line by line, decree in hand.
